Bio

Leo heads Barr Law Group’s corporate governance and securities class action practices, with a special focus on client support and engagement. Leo has overseen hundreds of corporate investigations and shareholder complaints arising from corporate misconduct, and has litigated cases to favorable settlements in state and federal courts across the country. Prior to joining the firm, Leo was a partner at Robbins LLP, a leading shareholder rights firm, where he led the firm’s business development group.

Leo frequently speaks to individual investors, fiduciaries and institutions regarding the investment impacts of corporate malfeasance, and the potential value to injured shareholders of pursuing legal remedies.

He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star every year since 2016.

Leo earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Davis School of Law, where he completed the Public Service Law Program and was an associate editor for the Business Law Journal.  He served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ronald H. Sargis at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of California, and as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of California.  Leo graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from San Diego State University and was Valedictorian of his class.
