Jennifer J. Lajoie joined the Law Offices of Russell D. Barr as a legal assistant in 1994. A Stowe native, Jennifer received her B.A. from the
University of Vermont in 1993. In 1996, she moved to San Francisco and worked for the Administrative Law Judge Division of the California Public Utilities Commission. Upon returning to Vermont, she worked at a large Burlington law firm before rejoining Barr & Associates, P.C. as a paralegal. Jennifer completed Vermont's four-year law office study program and passed the Vermont Bar Exam in February 2000.
Jennifer is admitted to practice in the State of Vermont, as well as in the United States District Courts for the District of Vermont and the Southern
District of New York. A member of the Vermont Bar Association and American Bar Association, Jennifer represents clients in a variety of areas, including cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice, and commercial law. In addition, she handles transactional matters including real estate closings and contracts. In 2001, Jennifer joined the Board of Directors of the Clarina Howard Nichols Center, a Morrisville, Vermont battered women's shelter.
