Daniel Seff joined Barr & Associates, P.C. in 1996 after practicing law for several years with prominent firms in New York City. He re-joined the Barr firm in 2002 following four years at one of Burlington, Vermont's leading firms. He represents the firm's clients in all aspects of commercial litigation, including trial practice and appellate proceedings. In addition, since re-joining Barr & Associates, he has successfully litigated several precedent-setting Native American law cases.
Daniel graduated from the New York University School of Law in 1990, and from the University of Vermont, cum laude, with honors in political science, in 1987. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was Vice President of UVM's Boulder Society (the senior men's honor society). Daniel graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1983.
While at NYU, Daniel served on the Journal of International Law and Politics. Upon graduating from NYU, he joined Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelsohn, one of New York City's oldest and largest law firms. At Proskauer, Daniel gained experience in general commercial, antitrust, securities, international, bankruptcy, banking, estates, communications, and products liability litigation.
Daniel co-authored Provisional Remedies in International Arbitration and Litigation, which was presented at the New York State Bar Association's program on "International Litigation: How to Sue, Defend and Obtain or Resist Discovery from Foreign Corporations and Individuals."
Before re-joining Barr & Associates, P.C. in 2002, Daniel worked at a prominent Burlington firm where he litigated in areas including antitrust, telecommunications, securities fraud, utilities, employment, lender liability, products liability, real estate, customs, and insurance coverage.
Daniel is admitted to practice in the State and Federal courts of Vermont and New York, as well as the United States Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
