Mr. Horsley, admitted in Massachusetts and Vermont, brings to Barr & Associates broad experience in representing clients before State and New England and the first and Second Federal Circuits, as wll as arbitration panels in many jurisdictions.

Allen C.B. Horsley, former senior litigation partner in the Boston Office of Dewey & LeBoeuf, LLP, one of the worlds largest, multinational law firms, has joined Barr & Associates as Of Counsel. Graduating from Harvard, cum laude, in 1963 Allen then received his LLB from the University of Virginia in 1966, and became a member of the Massachusetts Bar in that year. During his service as the Acting Chief of the Legislative Relief Division of the Office of the Judge Advocate General, Army, in 1971 Allen earned an LLM (in Economic Regulation) from the George Washington University National Law Center in Washington, D.C., and in that year returned to private practice in Boston, as an associate specializing in anti-trust and general litigation with the firm of Goodwin, Proctor & Hoar, one of New England's most successful firms.

After leaving Goodwin to establish his own litigation practice, which was itself acquired by a large Boston regional firm, in 1992 Allen joined Dewey & LeBoeuf (then the international firm of LeBoeuff, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP) where he lead teams of highly talented lawyers representing national, international as well as local and New England Regional corporate and individual clients in exceptionally varied areas of litigation and arbitration, including matters involving contractual, corporate and partnership disputes, securities, real estate, intellectual property, torts, regulatory and administrative compliance, constitutional rights, fiduciary obligations, probate administration and complex family law questions.
